基于CPU-GPU異構(gòu)環(huán)境的運(yùn)算代價(jià)評(píng)估模型

【摘要】:傳統(tǒng)性能分析模型僅針對(duì)單個(gè)處理器,未考慮異構(gòu)系統(tǒng)中處理器之間數(shù)據(jù)的傳輸開(kāi)銷(xiāo),不能有效地評(píng)估異構(gòu)系統(tǒng)的性能。為此,提出一種運(yùn)算代價(jià)評(píng)估模型。通過(guò)對(duì)計(jì)算平臺(tái)硬件參數(shù)和工作負(fù)載特征屬性的分層建模,結(jié)合LogGP模型和Roofline模型,估算不同執(zhí)行方式的運(yùn)算時(shí)間成本。依照建模的粒度粗細(xì),通過(guò)多層建模計(jì)算消耗的能量,采用LogGP模型實(shí)現(xiàn)CPU與GPU之間的數(shù)據(jù)傳輸,并運(yùn)用EPCC測(cè)試集對(duì)運(yùn)算代價(jià)模型進(jìn)行驗(yàn)證。實(shí)驗(yàn)結(jié)果表明,該模型對(duì)處理不同大小數(shù)據(jù)集時(shí)的性能評(píng)估具有較高的準(zhǔn)確性。
[Abstract]:The traditional performance analysis model is only for a single processor and does not take into account the data transmission overhead between processors in heterogeneous systems, so it can not effectively evaluate the performance of heterogeneous systems. Therefore, a computational cost evaluation model is proposed. Through the hierarchical modeling of hardware parameters and workload characteristic attributes of the computing platform, combined with LogGP model and Roofline model, the computational time cost of different execution modes is estimated. According to the granularity of modeling, the energy consumed is calculated by multi-layer modeling, and the data transmission between CPU and GPU is realized by LogGP model, and the EPCC test set is used to verify the cost model. The experimental results show that the model is accurate for the performance evaluation of data sets of different sizes.
