基于語(yǔ)料庫(kù)的中國(guó)碩士生畢業(yè)論文英文摘要的體裁分析

【摘要】:作為研究報(bào)告的一個(gè)縮影,摘要是交流精髓內(nèi)容的橋梁。隨著科學(xué)研究的日趨國(guó)際化,許多中國(guó)學(xué)者能夠通過(guò)論文的發(fā)表與世界同行分享他們的研究成果。然而,摘要是呈現(xiàn)研究的最簡(jiǎn)單且最便捷的方法。所以對(duì)于一名非英語(yǔ)專業(yè)的碩士生來(lái)說(shuō),寫(xiě)一篇高質(zhì)量的英文摘要是非常重要且有意義的。作為一種語(yǔ)篇形式,論文摘要體現(xiàn)了一定的交際目的,并且有某種特定的語(yǔ)篇結(jié)構(gòu)。因此,許多學(xué)者都對(duì)論文摘要的寫(xiě)作產(chǎn)生了濃厚的興趣。近年來(lái),對(duì)于摘要的研究越來(lái)越多,但是,像作者這樣,對(duì)多學(xué)科的畢業(yè)論文摘要寫(xiě)作的概括研究微乎其微。 運(yùn)用ESP體裁分析理論,本文對(duì)三個(gè)不同學(xué)科的碩士畢業(yè)論文英文摘要的體裁進(jìn)行了研究,文科領(lǐng)域的高等教育學(xué),理科領(lǐng)域的物理學(xué),工科領(lǐng)域的市政工程。為了調(diào)查畢業(yè)論文英文摘要的宏觀結(jié)構(gòu)特征和微觀語(yǔ)言特征,作者基于一個(gè)自建的語(yǔ)料庫(kù)對(duì)其進(jìn)行了定性和定量研究。作者從2009年發(fā)表的萬(wàn)方數(shù)據(jù)庫(kù)當(dāng)中隨機(jī)的在每科當(dāng)中抽取了30篇,搜集了共90篇畢業(yè)論文摘要;贐hatia在1993年提出的IMRD模型以及GB7713-87(中華人民共和國(guó)國(guó)家標(biāo)準(zhǔn)的科技論文,學(xué)位論文和學(xué)術(shù)論文的編寫(xiě)格式)分析了該數(shù)據(jù)庫(kù)摘要的宏觀結(jié)構(gòu)和微觀語(yǔ)言特征。IMRD模型具體是指論文摘要中應(yīng)包含的語(yǔ)步,分別是Introduction, Method, Results and Discussion四個(gè)語(yǔ)步。 研究的主要結(jié)果是:1)數(shù)據(jù)庫(kù)中的大部分摘要是兩個(gè)或三個(gè)語(yǔ)步模式,只有14篇摘要是4語(yǔ)步模式。在三個(gè)學(xué)科中,引言,方法語(yǔ)步都是作者很重視的,出現(xiàn)頻率很高,但是作者傾向于省略討論語(yǔ)步。就結(jié)果語(yǔ)步而言,理工科中的大多數(shù)作者表現(xiàn)的比較好,然而在教育學(xué)中,此語(yǔ)步出現(xiàn)的不多,并且作者不善于列舉所得結(jié)果;2)根據(jù)GB7713-87,我們知道摘要要包括四個(gè)語(yǔ)步,并且重點(diǎn)應(yīng)放在結(jié)果與結(jié)論語(yǔ)步。由此可見(jiàn),從結(jié)構(gòu)的角度出發(fā),數(shù)據(jù)庫(kù)中的絕大多數(shù)摘要是有待改進(jìn)的;3)對(duì)語(yǔ)言特征的考察表明:就時(shí)態(tài)而言,得出的結(jié)果跟Cooley and Lewkowics (2003)提出觀點(diǎn)有所不同,論文除了出現(xiàn)一般現(xiàn)在時(shí),一般過(guò)去式和現(xiàn)在完成時(shí)這三種常用時(shí)態(tài)外,也少量出現(xiàn)了一般將來(lái)時(shí),過(guò)去完成時(shí)和現(xiàn)在進(jìn)行時(shí);就語(yǔ)態(tài)而言,主動(dòng)語(yǔ)態(tài)出現(xiàn)的頻率很高,只有少數(shù)同學(xué)在Method語(yǔ)步和Results語(yǔ)步中運(yùn)用了被動(dòng)語(yǔ)態(tài),這與以往的研究結(jié)果相符;就人稱代詞而言,在理工工科中,第一人稱代詞出現(xiàn)的頻率很高,但是都是已復(fù)數(shù)形式出現(xiàn)的。而在文科中,用三人稱單數(shù)的頻率很高,根據(jù)GB6447-86文摘編寫(xiě)規(guī)則,為了強(qiáng)調(diào)論文的客觀可靠性,都應(yīng)該用三人稱的形式來(lái)闡述每一項(xiàng)研究。由此可見(jiàn),就語(yǔ)言特征而言,也存在著一定的問(wèn)題,希望此項(xiàng)研究結(jié)果能夠引起廣大學(xué)生的認(rèn)真思考。 研究結(jié)果表明,無(wú)論從宏觀結(jié)構(gòu)還是從微觀語(yǔ)言特征而言,我國(guó)非英語(yǔ)專業(yè)碩士研究生在寫(xiě)英文論文摘要時(shí)存在著很大的不足。很多高校沒(méi)有開(kāi)設(shè)論文寫(xiě)作課程致使學(xué)生不了解英文摘要編寫(xiě)的具體要求可能是造成這種結(jié)果的主要原因。本研究可讓讀者注意到英語(yǔ)論文摘要的標(biāo)準(zhǔn)格式,從而幫助他們進(jìn)行有效的摘要寫(xiě)作,并提高論文發(fā)表量。本項(xiàng)研究的局限性在于研究的數(shù)據(jù)庫(kù)不夠大,選擇的專業(yè)有限。此研究只能算是通向研究頂點(diǎn)的一級(jí)階梯,還需要其他學(xué)者添磚加瓦。
[Abstract]:As a microcosm of the research report, is the essence of the communication bridge. With the content of scientific research is becoming more international, many scholars published papers Chinese can share their results with the world counterparts. However, this method is the simplest and most convenient of the present research. So for a non English professional master students write a high quality English abstract is very important and significant. As a discourse form, abstract embodies certain communicative purposes, and have a particular discourse structure. Therefore, many scholars are on the abstract writing had a strong interest in recent years. For more, study more and abstract but, as the author of this multi-disciplinary graduation thesis abstract writing summary research very little.
The use of ESP genre analysis theory, this paper studied the genre of three different disciplines graduate English abstract, higher education in the field of Arts, science and Engineering in the field of physics, the field of municipal engineering. In order to investigate the macro node graduation English structure features and micro linguistic features, the author of a corpus the qualitative and quantitative research. Based on the author from 2009 published in Wanfang database were randomly in each of which 30 pieces are selected, collected a total of 90 graduate paper. The IMRD model proposed by Bhatia in 1993 and GB7713-87 (based on the national standard of People's Republic of China science and technology papers, dissertations and scientific papers writing format) analyzes the macro structure of the database and the micro linguistic features of the.IMRD model specifically refers to the move should be included in abstracts, respectively is I Ntroduction, Method, Results and Discussion four steps.
The main results of the study are: 1) most of the database is two or three moves, only 14 abstracts is 4 move model. Introduction in three subjects, and methods are the author moves very seriously, the frequency is very high, but the authors tend to omit discussion move results. The moves, most authors in science engineering better, but in education, this step is not much, and the author is not listed at the results; 2) according to the GB7713-87, we know that the four moves to include, and should focus on results and conclusion moves thus, starting from the perspective of structure, the vast majority of the database is to be improved; 3) the study of language characteristics shows that the temporal, the results obtained with Cooley and Lewkowics (2003) put forward a different view, in addition to the general appearance of now When the past tense and the present perfect tense of the three commonly used, but also a small amount of the future tense, past perfect tense; on the voice, active voice frequency is very high, only a few students use the passive voice in the Method language and Results language step by step, the results. With the previous studies; for personal pronouns, in science and technology and engineering, the first person pronouns appear frequently, but are plural. Appeared in the liberal arts, with the three person singular frequency is very high, according to the GB6447-86 article excerpts of writing rules, in order to emphasize the objective reliability, should to illustrate each of the studies in the three person form. Thus, the language features, there are some problems, I hope the results of this study can cause serious consideration of the students.
The results of the study show that, whether from the macro or the micro structure characteristics of language, English major postgraduates are short in writing English Abstract non Chinese. Many universities did not set up the writing course that students do not understand the specific requirements of English written may be the main reason for this result of this study. Can let the reader's attention to the standard format of English abstracts, to help them effectively in writing, and increase the number of papers published.
