基于自建語料庫的語言學方向英文論文摘要中模糊限制語的研究

【摘要】:學術論文寫作經(jīng)常被人們認為是客觀信息的表達,不能夾雜任何個人感情色彩,然而,高效的寫作是離不開模糊限制語的使用的。它作為一種寫作策略,可以體現(xiàn)作者治學的嚴謹和寫作風格的謙遜,起到緩和語氣的作用,同時也能表明作者的態(tài)度,避免過于絕對的表達,給讀者留下思考的余地。 摘要是論文精華的濃縮,它能夠高度準確概括文章主旨,幫助讀者快速準確檢索到自己需要的內容,成為科研成果交流和傳播的重要載體,起到傳遞重要學術信息的作用。本文基于自建語料庫,以Hyland(1998b)對模糊限制語的定義和Varttala(2001)的分類,通過分析山西師范大學上兩屆(2012和2013屆)畢業(yè)生130篇英文論文摘要中的詞匯模糊限制語,來研究山西師范大學語言學方向詞匯模糊限制語的使用情況,從而歸納出山西師范大學語言學方向學生使用詞匯模糊限制語的一些特點,希望對模糊限制語更深層次的研究,以及對山西師范大學文科和理科專業(yè)英文論文摘要中模糊限制語的研究提供借鑒。 本文以山西師范大學上兩屆畢業(yè)生的130篇英文論文摘要為語料,通過自建語料庫,使用Antconc3.2.2和SPSS17.0來計算山西師范大學語言學方向詞匯模糊限制語的使用頻率,通過例子分析其五類詞匯模糊限制語的分布規(guī)律及使用情況。 研究結果顯示:(1)山西師范大學語言學方向英文摘要中詞匯模糊限制語的總體使用頻率和分布與發(fā)表在國際英語期刊英文摘要中的詞匯模糊限制語相比存在著顯著性差異;(2)在整體分布上,認知副詞占到了40%左右,而認知名詞卻不到4%,這說明學生在漢語寫作中就經(jīng)常使用認知副詞,習慣把原來的漢語摘要直接翻譯成英語,而這種譯本在表達上更趨向于中式化,說明母語遷移對山西師范大學學生詞匯模糊限制語的使用有一定的影響。另外,認知名詞比例小可能是由于英語中有豐富的詞匯來表達漢語的同一個意思,但學生卻不能靈活應用;(3)山西師范大學語料庫英文摘要中詞匯模糊限制語的總體使用頻率要低于國際英語期刊,但是使用了較多的不同模糊限制詞,這可能是由于山西師范大學語料庫的總詞數(shù)多于國際英語期刊語料庫,但同時也表明山西師范大學學生使用詞匯模糊限制語的意識在逐漸增長,他們已經(jīng)有了在摘要寫作中使用不同的模糊限制詞的意識了;(4)結果顯示山西師范大學學生在認知形容詞和認知名詞的使用上與國際英語期刊語料庫沒有顯著性差別,但在認知副詞,認知動詞和情態(tài)動詞的使用上卻存在著顯著性差異。這表明山西師范大學學生應該提高這三類模糊限制詞的使用意識,以便進行有效的學術寫作;(5)山西師范大學學生在使用五類詞匯模糊限制語的各子類中表現(xiàn)出了自己的特點,在各子類模糊限制詞的選擇當中有自己的偏好。鑒于對當前詞匯模糊限制語使用情況的了解,作者對今后的研究提出了一些可行性建議,,希望能夠規(guī)范學生的論文寫作,提高他們使用模糊限制語的意識。
[Abstract]:The writing of academic paper is often regarded as the expression of objective information and can't contain any personal emotional color. As a kind of writing strategy, it can reflect the rigour of the author's management and the humility of the writing style, play a role in moderating the tone, and can also show the author's attitude, avoid over-absolute expression, and leave the reader a room for thinking. this paper is a kind of concentration of the essence of the paper, which can give a high degree of accuracy to the main purpose of the article, help the reader to quickly and accurately retrieve the content that they need, become an important carrier of the exchange and dissemination of scientific research results, and play a role in the transfer of important academic information. The paper, based on the self-built corpus, uses the definition of Hyland (1998b) in the definition of the fuzzy limit and the classification of the Vartara (2001), and analyzes the fuzzy limit of the words in the 130 English paper abstracts of the two (2012 and 2013) graduates of Shanxi Normal University. This paper, based on the study of the use of the fuzzy limit in the linguistics of Shanxi Normal University, summarizes some features of the use of the vocabulary fuzzy limit in the linguistics direction of Shanxi Normal University, and hopes to make a deeper study on the fuzzy limit. The use frequency of the five-class vocabulary is analyzed by means of example, and the distribution law of the fuzzy limit of the five-class words is analyzed. The results of the study show that: (1) The general use frequency and distribution of the English abstract of the English abstract of Shanxi Normal University have significant differences compared with those in the English abstract of the International English Journal; 2) In the whole distribution, the cognitive adverb accounts for about 40%, while the cognitive term is less than 4%, which means that the students often use the cognitive adverbs in the Chinese writing, and the traditional Chinese abstract is directly translated into English, and the translation is expressed It is more likely to be Chinese to explain the translation of mother tongue to the fuzzy limit of the vocabulary of the students in Shanxi Normal University. In addition, the small proportion of the cognitive terms may be the same meaning of the Chinese as a result of the abundant vocabulary in English, but the students are not able to apply flexibly; (3) The general use frequency of the vocabulary fuzzy limit in the English abstract of the corpus of the Shanxi Normal University It is lower than that of the international English journal, but a lot of different fuzzy restrictive words are used, which may be due to the fact that the total number of words in the corpus of Shanxi Normal University is more than that of the international English periodical corpus, but at the same time it also shows that the students of Shanxi Normal University use the word fuzzy limit (4) The results show that there is no significant difference between the use of cognitive and cognitive terms in Shanxi Normal University and the corpus of international English periodical. In view of the understanding of the use of the current vocabulary, the author puts forward some feasible suggestions for future research, and it is hoped to be able to standardize the writing of the students' paper and improve their use.
