超高速多幀數(shù)字X射線攝像機問世

【摘要】:正據(jù)美國桑迪亞國家實驗室網(wǎng)站報道,該實驗室與其他實驗室及大學的研究人員合作,開發(fā)出迄今最快的多幀數(shù)字X射線攝像機(UXI),曝光時間僅需1.5納秒,比目前最好的數(shù)字攝像機還快25倍。核聚變物理學家們經(jīng)常面臨的一個問題是,有時連續(xù)監(jiān)控的圖像會突然"斷片"毀了本該成功的實驗,卻沒人看清發(fā)生了什么。桑迪亞物理學家約翰·波特說,他們想確保圖像幀與幀之間沒有這種意外。
[Abstract]:According to the Sandia National Laboratory website, the lab, in collaboration with researchers from other laboratories and universities, has developed the fastest multiframe digital X-ray camera to date, (UXI), exposure time of only 1.5 nanoseconds. It's 25 times faster than the best digital camera at the moment. One of the problems that nuclear fusion physicists often face is that sometimes images that are continuously monitored can suddenly "fragment" an experiment that should have been successful, but no one sees what is happening. Sandia physicist John Porter says they want to make sure there is no such accident between frames.
