基于氮化鋁的雙波段可調(diào)DFB激光器的設(shè)計

【摘要】:隨著通信技術(shù)的不斷發(fā)展尤其是光通信技術(shù)的發(fā)展,人們對帶寬的要求也日益提高,大容量、高速率以及高頻譜效率的光通信網(wǎng)絡(luò)逐漸成為下一代通信網(wǎng)絡(luò)的主流。波長可調(diào)諧激光器在簡化DWDM(密集波分復(fù)用)系統(tǒng)光源配置的同時也大幅度提升了光通信系統(tǒng)的性價比。目前,波長可調(diào)DFB-LD(分布反饋激光器)已成為光通信系統(tǒng)至關(guān)重要的一部分。另外,隨著MEMS(微機(jī)電系統(tǒng))技術(shù)的發(fā)展,可調(diào)諧的GaN(氮化鎵)激光器及濾波器已有報道,但是基于AlN(氮化鋁)材料集成制備波長可調(diào)諧DFB-LD的研究較少。本文依據(jù)嚴(yán)格耦合波理論和介質(zhì)平板波導(dǎo)理論,基于MEMS(微機(jī)電系統(tǒng))技術(shù),利用周期可調(diào)諧的布拉格光柵設(shè)計了一種AlN(氮化鋁)波長可調(diào)DFB-LD(分布反饋激光器)。采用梳齒狀驅(qū)動器驅(qū)動光柵動態(tài)調(diào)節(jié),通過數(shù)值計算并且利用有限元軟件COMSOL建立了基于ALN的可調(diào)DFB-LD二維模型,對其在1310 nm波段進(jìn)行模擬仿真。分析了激光器電場模式在不同光柵結(jié)構(gòu)參數(shù)下的輸出特性,確定了DFB-LD的光柵結(jié)構(gòu)參數(shù)。分析表明,激光器輸出波長與光柵周期呈線性關(guān)系,且一個光柵周期對應(yīng)多個不同的光柵高度值。在小于模式截止光柵高度情況下呈20 nm周期性分布。并依據(jù)光柵周期和激射波長的關(guān)系,提出了制作1290~1330 nm及1530~1565 nm波段可調(diào)激光器的可能性,為實(shí)現(xiàn)波長可調(diào)諧DFB-LD的制造提供了理論基礎(chǔ)及數(shù)據(jù)參考。
[Abstract]:With the continuous development of communication technology, especially the development of optical communication technology, the demand for bandwidth is also increasing. Optical communication networks with large capacity, high rate and high spectral efficiency have gradually become the mainstream of the next generation communication networks. Wavelength tunable laser not only simplifies the configuration of DWDM (dense wavelength Division Multiplexing) system light source, but also greatly improves the performance and price ratio of optical communication system. At present, wavelength tunable DFB-LD (distributed feedback laser) has become an important part of optical communication system. In addition, with the development of MEMS (Micro-Electro-Mechanical system) technology, tunable GaN lasers and filters have been reported, but there are few researches on wavelength tunable DFB-LD based on AlN (aluminum nitride) material integration. Based on the strictly coupled wave theory and dielectric planar waveguide theory, based on MEMS (Micro-Electromechanical system) technology, a kind of AlN (distributed feedback laser) with tunable AlN wavelength is designed by using periodically tunable Bragg gratings. The adjustable DFB-LD two-dimensional model based on ALN is established by numerical calculation and finite element software COMSOL, which is driven by comb driver. It is simulated in 1310 nm band. The output characteristics of laser electric field mode under different grating structure parameters are analyzed and the grating structure parameters of DFB-LD are determined. The analysis shows that the output wavelength of the laser is linearly related to the grating period, and one grating period corresponds to many different grating height values. Under the condition of less than the height of the mode cut off grating, the periodic distribution of the grating is 20 nm. According to the relationship between the grating period and the emission wavelength, the possibility of fabricating 1290 nm and 1530U 1565 nm tunable lasers is put forward, which provides a theoretical basis and data reference for the fabrication of wavelength tunable DFB-LD.
