場域理論視角下《我的前半生》的英譯研究

《我的前半生》是清朝末代皇帝愛新覺羅·溥儀所作“反省式”自傳。該書自1964年出版以來,發(fā)行數(shù)百萬余冊,堪稱超級暢銷的長銷書,且被譯成10多個語種發(fā)行海外,其英譯版迄今仍在美國亞馬遜網站上熱銷。在中國文化“走出去”的今天,這樣一本對外傳播較為成功的中國自傳文學,國內的研究卻屈指可數(shù),且都是從文本內容出發(fā)進行研究,缺乏對其熱銷原因的探索。20世紀90年代,繼“文化轉向”之后,翻譯學發(fā)生了“社會學轉向”,越來越多的學者嘗試用社會學理論解決翻譯中的問題。社會翻譯學強調對社會翻譯現(xiàn)象和對其產生影響的各種因素進行綜合性分析,這與探析《我的前半生》熱銷這一社會現(xiàn)象的原因有不謀而合之處。從以往的研究來看,以布迪厄的場域理論為指導,《我的前半生》作為研究文本還有很多研究空間。本文以布迪厄的核心概念“場域”為切入點,通過考察《我的前半生》場域中的代理人們(作者,出版社,譯者,讀者)之間的關系,以及代理人們與場域的相互影響,最終分析出其暢銷的主要原因,從而有助于更多優(yōu)秀的中國文學作品借助場域運動規(guī)律發(fā)揮積極作用,融入海外文學場域。研究結果如下:《我的前半生》變?yōu)闀充N書甚至是長銷書依賴于場域內的代理人們資本...
