伊麗莎白·布萊克(Elizabeth Black)的《語用文體學》是一本語用文體學專著。語用文體學,概而言之,就是研究如何把語用學的理論應用于文學文本的分析和闡釋的文體學分支(當然,這些分析和闡釋也可以為語用學的發(fā)展提供反饋)。其中布萊克(Black)不僅總結了經(jīng)典的語用學理論,如言語行為理論、合作原則、禮貌原則以及關聯(lián)理論在小說闡釋中的重要作用,還從語用學角度對隱喻、反諷、戲仿以及象征等修辭手法進行了解讀,更創(chuàng)造性地把關聯(lián)理論中的回聲話語和巴赫金(Bakhtin)的多聲理論(heteroglossia)聯(lián)系起來,對小說文體中的敘述聲音的復合及其文體效果進行了分析,對擴展和加深國內語用文體學研究有重要的參考價值。譯者選取了本書第八章作為本次翻譯實踐的文本,本章主要論述了幾種修辭手法在文學作品中的應用和體現(xiàn),如隱喻、反諷以及戲仿等。本次翻譯實踐的文本為學術性文本,具有專業(yè)術語多,語言比較正式,句子結構比較復雜的特點,給譯者帶來了很大的挑戰(zhàn)。該翻譯報告以卡特福德翻譯轉換理論為理論指導,對第八章的翻譯展開分析,探討譯文在詞匯、句法層面出現(xiàn)的層次轉換、結構轉換,類別轉換和單位轉換四類主要現(xiàn)象。...
