　　本地化產(chǎn)業(yè)于20世紀90年代迅速發(fā)展,自出現(xiàn)以來,產(chǎn)生了巨大的經(jīng)濟效益,在文化交流方面也展現(xiàn)出了獨特的優(yōu)勢。隨著近年來計算機行業(yè)的飛速發(fā)展,本地化行業(yè)更呈現(xiàn)出了強勁的發(fā)展勢頭。本地化翻譯通常與全球化、國際化以及翻譯統(tǒng)稱為GILT產(chǎn)業(yè)。在當今國際化的進程中,軟件本地化作為本地化行業(yè)的一個重要分支,必將面臨更大的發(fā)展機遇,承擔更重要的使命。然而,國際上關(guān)于本地化的理論研究卻并不豐富。本地化行業(yè)也呈現(xiàn)出一種“重實踐輕理論”的趨勢。因此,為了實現(xiàn)本地化行業(yè)健康快速的發(fā)展,本地化的理論研究是不可避免的。在本報告中,作者以CAT工具Wordfast Pro 5.12.1的本地化過程為例,對整個軟件本地化翻譯過程進行了回顧與總結(jié)。作者主要從本地化工具、本地化流程以及本地化翻譯標準幾個方面,對軟件本地化過程中的要點進行了描述。本報告由五章組成。具體來說,第一章主要介紹了任務背景,包括Wordfast Pro這一CAT工具的背景、本地化中的資源特點,以及本地化軟件的法律地位。第二章介紹了本地化翻譯前的準備工作,包括源文件的處理,翻譯記憶庫、詞匯表和平行文本的準備。第三章介紹了本地化翻譯的整個過程的具體步驟...
