【摘要】：本文簡要介紹了譯者于翻譯碩士第一年在揚州大學(xué)進行的一項翻譯實踐項目。報告選取翻譯了中國文學(xué)史上四大譴責(zé)小說之一,即李伯元的《官場現(xiàn)形記》的第五和第六章。在這部小說中,作者將諷刺的笑聲和憤怒的呼喊融入晚清官場的丑惡與虛偽之中。同時,作者還以其高超的諷刺手法,使用大量的文化負載詞呈現(xiàn)了許多荒謬卻又發(fā)人深省的場景和人物�；�于語義對等原則,該報告在翻譯實踐中對相關(guān)的一些翻譯策略進行了總結(jié)和反思,并在此基礎(chǔ)之上,提出了初步的結(jié)論。在翻譯過程中,譯者將語義對等原則作為指導(dǎo)原則,充分解析了原文中豐富的文化負載詞(其中大部分是極具中國傳統(tǒng)文化特色的),而不丟失或扭曲其豐富的社會文化內(nèi)涵和聯(lián)系。根據(jù)語義對等原則,翻譯的目的是在源語言和目標(biāo)語言之間實現(xiàn)語義對等。在完成翻譯實踐項目的過程中,譯者在報告中借鑒了很多例子,從而得出了初步的結(jié)論,即可以采用語義對等原則,作為富含文化負載詞的中國古典小說漢英翻譯的指導(dǎo)原則和實踐方法。這份報告包含六個章節(jié)。第一章是概述,包括原文和原文作者的概況,以及此次翻譯實踐項目的理論和實踐意義。第二章則介紹了語義對等的基本概念和原則。第三章是譯前相關(guān)信息的搜集和準(zhǔn)備。第四章則介紹了文化負載詞及運用語義對等原則翻譯文化負載詞的理由。第五章通過具體的案例分析,在語義對等原則的指導(dǎo)下,呈現(xiàn)了應(yīng)用于英譯文化負載詞的一些翻譯策略。第六章得出了初步的結(jié)論。
[Abstract]:This paper briefly introduces a practical translation project carried out by the translator at Yangzhou University in the first year of the Master of Translation. The report selects and translates one of the four major condemnation novels in the history of Chinese literature. In this novel, the author integrates the sarcastic laughter and angry cry into the ugly and hypocrisy of the late Qing Dynasty officialdom. The author also uses a large number of culture-loaded words to present many absurd but thought-provoking scenes and characters based on the principle of semantic equivalence. On the basis of the summary and reflection of some translation strategies in translation practice, the report puts forward a preliminary conclusion. In the process of translation, the translator regards the principle of semantic equivalence as the guiding principle. It fully analyzes the rich culture-loaded words in the original text (most of them are characterized by Chinese traditional culture), without losing or distorting their rich social and cultural connotations and connections, according to the principle of semantic equivalence. The purpose of translation is to achieve semantic equivalence between the source language and the target language. That is, the principle of semantic equivalence can be adopted as the guiding principle and practical method of Chinese-English translation of Chinese classical novels rich in culture-loaded words. This report contains six chapters. The first chapter is an overview. Including the original text and the author of the overview. Chapter 2 introduces the basic concepts and principles of semantic equivalence. Chapter 3 is about the collection and preparation of pretranslational information. Chapter 4th introduces culture-loaded words and operations. The reasons for translating culture-loaded words with the principle of semantic equivalence. Chapter 5th is a case study. Under the guidance of the principle of semantic equivalence, this paper presents some translation strategies applied to culture-loaded words in English translation. Chapter 6th draws a preliminary conclusion.
