《中華年畫絕藝》(節(jié)選)中英翻譯實踐報告

本報告是在圖說類書籍《中華年畫絕藝》的中英翻譯實踐基礎(chǔ)上寫成。作為翻譯項目的參加者,作者負責翻譯了該書第六章至第十一章的內(nèi)容。翻譯不僅僅是對文本類資源的處理,當話語中涵蓋圖片資料時,對圖片的識讀也是一名合格的譯者必須具備的能力。在翻譯過程中,作者運用其語言技能和多模態(tài)識讀能力,力求為目標讀者展現(xiàn)了年畫的傳統(tǒng)藝術(shù)魅力,良好地完成了實踐任務(wù)。在本報告中,作者從多模態(tài)話語分析的角度對實踐中的翻譯實例進行了分析。具體來說,就是依據(jù)視覺語法的有關(guān)理論,探討了實例所體現(xiàn)出的再現(xiàn)意義、互動意義或構(gòu)圖意義。此外,作者從綜合語言能力和職業(yè)道德兩個方面審視了翻譯這一職業(yè),主要是一名譯者作為語言使用者、圖片解讀者和文化交流者應(yīng)該承擔的責任。最后,作者希望其此報告能夠為其他譯者帶來啟發(fā),幫助他們在將來更好地完成翻譯工作。
